Visit to the renowned frescos of the private chapel of Palazzo Ridolfi

During the visit it will be possible to admire the renowned frescos of the private chapel of Palazzo Ridolfi. Organized by the Istituto per l’Arte e il Restauro of Florence in cooperation with the Associazione Via Maggio, the event will exceptionally open to the public the chapel dedicated to St. John the Baptist. As a matter of fact, like any proper Florence noble palace, Palazzo Ridolfi, which Giovan Battista Zanchini had had built at the end of the sixteenth century in Via Maggio and ascribed to Santi di Tito, one of the greatest painters working in Florence during the Counter-Reformation period, had a chapel dedicated not only to the celebration of the services, but also to the preservation of the precious relics that were one of the prides of the renowned city lineages.
