History and matter: the façades of the European and Florence architectures
“Storia e materia: le facciate delle architetture d’Europa e di Firenze” (History and matter: the façades of the European and Florence architectures): this is the title of the meeting organized by the Associazione Palazzo Spinelli, in cooperation with the Associazione Via Maggio, which will be held on Monday 9th May from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Palazzo Ridolfi in Via Maggio 13.
The monumental bicoloured graffiti façade of the Palazzo di Bianca Cappello, looking onto Via Maggio and that can be widely enjoyed from the windows of the opposite Palazzo Ridolfi, will be the setting of the conference providing for the concerted communications of two art historians, Eleonora Pecchioli and Claudio Paolini, and of a conservator architect, Paolo Pieri-Nerli, who have been dealing with the delicate matter of preservation of historical façades for many years by adopting multifarious approaches.
