ArtAct Together, Exchange project of Young People of the Local Tourist Office “L’Araba Fenicia” of Sambuca di Sicilia - AG

How a cultural exchange can produce a Festival. Calogero Guzzardo, Salvatore Ricca, Leo di Verde and Ignazio Fiore will share their experiences of cultural exchange in a foreign country. The ArtAct Together intercultural exchange involved 5 countries: Italy, Cyprus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, and 30 young people. Art and culture, especially the tradition and folklore of each country were the topics involving the participants. As a matter of fact, the main targets were to stimulate young people’s creativity through artistic forms and to promote knowledge activities, games, activities on stereotypes and prejudices and of enhancement of the respective dance and musical traditions, laboratories of art, theatre, music and dance, where young people worked together, and visits to the territory. At the end of the project, a European Festival of traditions and cultures was organized, which was held at the theatre L’Idea di Sambuca di Sicilia at which the whole community participated.
