"1180 Miles" of the Province of Cagliari - Department of Education and Youth Status - Experience Youth in Action

Meeting with the participants in the 1180 Miles project which involved young people, administrators and policymakers, associations and schools. The objectives of the project were the exchange of experiences and ideas concerning the best way to build and manage an organized dialogue process allowing the young people involved to effectively impact on the decision-making processes of the respective territories, the identification of reproducible cooperation tools to experiment with forms of representative democracy and active citizenship. The project was realized through transnational meetings and seminars with the representatives of the two promoter partners, Italy and Turkey, the creation of focus groups, of laboratories at local level, the identification of specific actions in each partner country, the exchange of good practices, the enhancement of the transnational partnership and the creation of a web platform. Among the outcomes of the project: the realization of a youth card and the creation of a provincial youth council. Speakers: Jan Alexandro Lai, Claudio Zedda, Silvia Anedda.
