“I waste of less” Youth Exchange project of the Città di Venaria Reale (TO) – Youth in Action Experience

Anna Lo Piccolo, Valentina Lena and Chiara Cipriani, three young protagonists of the Youth in Action cultural exchange which involved four countries, Italy, Spain, Hungary and Romania, and 24 young people, will participate in the meeting describing their experience. This exchange had the objective of developing the sense of European citizenship through the comparison of different lifestyles and the consideration on how they affect daily consumptions, the environmental impact and the possibility of adopting healthier ways of life. The programme of the activities provided for the realization of a video divided into 4 sections (food, energy consumption, water and waste recycling) aimed at highlighting analogies and differences in lifestyles related to consumptions. The construction of the screenplay, the use of the video camera, shootings, final assembly and editing were an occasion for comparison, exchange and learning among the participants. Through workshops, also some alternative consumption patterns were experienced for a healthier lifestyle.
